How to register for classes?
  • Register for classes through our online form, or email fastlearntoswim@gmail.com.
Who is the Head Instructor?
  • Classes will be led by Emily Moelter. Please contact us if you have questions regarding what level (i.e. Tadpole, Squirts, Level 1, etc.) your child should be registered for.
Who are the class Instructor Assistants?
  • The Instructor Assistants are youth, 8th through 12th grade, who have swimming experience. They assist class participants to meet their full potential.
What is the cost?
  • Tadpole classes are $25.
  • Squirts and Level 1-6 are $30.
Tadpole 1 – Age 6 months to 3 years; 30 minutes; With parent; 5 max
  • Teachers’ discretion
Tadpole 2 – Age 6 months to 3 years; 30 minutes; With parent;  5 max
  • Voluntary submerge head underwater
  • Back float with assistance
Tadpole 3 – Age 6 months to 3 years; 30 minutes; With parent; 5 max
  • Voluntary submerge head underwater
  • Back float independently with noodle
  • Paddle and kick on back with noodle and assistant
Tadpole 4 – Age 6 months to 3 years; 30 minutes; No parent (can be in water first class if needed); 1:4
  • Jump in water and climb out independently
  • Teachers’ discretion

Squirts 1 – Age 4 to 5; 40 minutes; 1:4 (8 max.)

  • Adjusting to group setting
  • Submerge and holding breath 3 to 5 seconds
  • Back float seconds- with assistance
  • Back glide and kick 10 feet with assistance
  • Safety skills
Squirts 2 – Age 4 to 5; 40 minutes; 1:4 (8 max.)
  • Submerge and hold breath 5 seconds
  • Rhythmic bobbing 5 times
  • Front float 5 seconds- with assistance
  • Front glide with assistance 10 feet
  • Jump in and out of water independently
  • Safety skills
Squirts 3 – Age 4 to 5; 40 minutes; 1:4 (8 max.)
  • Submerge and hold breath 8 seconds
  • Rhythmic bobbing 8 times
  • Independent front and back float
  • Introduction Front crawl 10 feet
  • Introduction back crawl 10 feet
  • Jump independently in and out of water
  • Safety skills
Level 1 – Age 6 and up; 40 minutes; 1:5 (10 max.); Taught shallow end.
  • Rhythmic bobbing 5 times
  • Submerge and hold breath 8 seconds
  • Front glide 10 Feet
  • Back glide 10 feet
  • Front crawl 10 feet
  • Winging 10 feet
  • Independently jump in and out of water
  • Safety skills
Level 2 – Age 6 and up; 40 Minutes; 1:5 (10 max.); Taught shallow end.
  • Submerge breath holding 10 seconds
  • Rhythmic bobbing 10 times
  • Front crawl 15 yards
  • Winging 15 yards
  • Turnover
  • Retrieve object from bottom
  • Safety skills
Level 3 – Age 6 and up; 40 minutes; 1:5 (10 max.); Taught middle section.
  • Front crawl with rotary breathing 15 yards
  • Intro back crawl 15 yards
  • Jump in and swim
  • Retrieve object from bottom
  • Supine and probe float
  • Treading water 30 seconds
  • Turning over
  • Diving introduction
  • PFD use and safety skills
Level 4 – Age 6 and up; 40 minutes; 1:5 (10 max.); Taught middle and deep end.
  • Front crawl and rotary breathing 25 yards
  • Back crawl 25 yards
  • Side stroke 25 yards
  • Level off and swim front and back 15 yards
  • Treading water 45 seconds
  • Survival float front an back, deep end 1 minute
  • 10 deep water bobs
  • Retrieve object deep end
  • Jump from diving board
  • Diving safety and knee dives
  • PFD use, help and huddle
  • Safety skills
Level 5 – Age 6 and up; 40 minutes; 1:5 (10 max.); Taught deep end.
  • Front crawl 25 yards
  • Back crawl 25 yards
  • Side stroke 25 yards
  • Elementary back stroke 15 yards
  • Breaststroke 15 yards
  • Deep water back float 2 minutes
  • Survival float 2 minutes
  • Open front and back turns

  • Feet and head first surface dives
  • Front five from side
  • Retrieve object from bottom

Level 6 – Age 6 and up; 40 minutes; 1:5 (10 max.); Taught deep end.

  • Back crawl 50 yards
  • Side stroke 50 yards
  • Elementary back stroke 25 yards
  • Breaststroke 25 yards
  • Butterfly 15 yards
  • Treading water 2 minutes
  • Survival float 2 minutes
